V.I.P Very Important Post

Greeting everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have been wild here. Anyway, I don't have time to write you a detailed post on everything going on so I thought I'd post a little something. I had to write an essay for school and thought you people of the I-Net would like to read it. It explains why I'm sooo busy. ENJOY!
MOVING

After two years in our city house we are finally moving. I am so excited! The house we are moving into is wonderful, and in the country. A beautiful brown house sits on a lovely valley of 15 acres, with emerald pastures and Little Boone Creek zigzagging its way through the front yard. It seems like life couldn’t be better. Though I will miss our old house, just like all the others. Each one has special memories locked away in it. Here in our old house I have celebrated Birthdays, numerous sleepovers, movie premiers and had dinner with friends. So much of my life is here, but my future is awaiting me at the new house. Ready to begin another part of my life, ready to make new memories. I plan on making the best of the opportunity I’ve been given and to bring the memories from the old house with me to remind me of how my life once was.

A Bunch of Jumbled Things

Today's Post is A Bunch of Jumbled Things put into one post! Interesting huh!?

1# POEMS
Today I have 2 poems for you good people of the Internet!

INSPIRATION

The lines of paper blank,
Notebooks empty,
every scrap of paper default.

The walls of my room white,
Colors of Life gone.

You smile, my world grows,
trees of ice and grass of cloud,
rivers of green and mountains of red.

The lines of paper full,
notebooks filled,
every scrap of paper used.

Inspiration

FIRST NIGHT

Black Midnight sky painted with clouds of smoke.
Removed is my shyness cloak.
I feel alive and well.
My happiness is like a bell.
Chiming with every smile.
Streamers and noisemakers are in a great pile.
We are settled in a Bus on our way home, though sleep is almost impossible with the excitement!
We will arrive down stairs,
leaping with Joy as the clock read 12:24,
we may never rest!
What we will do with the remaining New Year is the real test.

2# HORSE SLAUGHTER
on a very sad note, here is the link to the video I was talking about in yesterdays post. Be warned this video contains graphic material and if not for the faint of heart.

3#DRAWING DUCKS
Title says it all!

This 2008 I have decided to put my drawing skills to the test and enter The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest! The title kinda tells all but I'll fill you in anyway. Students k-12 attending public, private or home schools must draw a live portrayal of a native North American duck, swan or goose. The winners get there drawings made into stamps and a cash prize. Seems pretty simple till you see your competition :P ! I'll be drawing a Long-Tailed Duck or OldSquaw. I can't wait to get started on it! I'll keep you updated on the drawings progress!

And finally...

New Year, New Me.

It is 2008. I am finally back home from celebrating the New Year with ALL my family in Columbia, Missouri. It was an amazing 3 days with everyone and a very sad day when everyone left. I sit here now eating mac & cheese, thinking over everything that has happened. I am still mourning over having to leave my cousins and other family. I considered writing a poem to direct my feeling to paper but found I couldn't find words for what I was feeling. I still might if I can find the words. My book (I think it's my 23rd book try. but who's counting?) is coming pretty well. I would post the prologue if I didn't think I'd finish it. That was one of my New Years resolutions... Finish my book, Read More, write more, Study More, Blog More and Be nicer :D Friday Co-op starts back in February. I can't wait! This year I'm taking Art 3 and Spanish, Just like last year but I'll learn more advanced and different things. I know this year we're learning to draw in color in Art. I still need to get colored pencils :P Spanish is going to be a tough one for me. Remembering everything is almost impossible for me :S Thankfully I have good friends that help :) On another note... Horse Slaughter is going down a bit. They've closed a bunch of slaughter houses but there are still some open. wild horses biggest threat right now is BLM gatherings and the few Slaughter houses still open. I watched a video about horse slaughter that really brought me back to reality. Horse Slaughtering is inhumane, not nessesaray and WRONG! I'll try and find the link and post it. Speaking of horses, I have finally come to own one of my own. He's a Missouri Fox Trotter gelding, 2 years old and bay. He's very sweet and I love him very much! :D Well, Time to go!

TTFN!
